Tap. Unlock. Done.
Once the app is installed, enrolling takes about a minute. Pick whichever method your facility gave you below — either one ties your access to this phone, so your membership can’t be shared. Don’t have the app yet? Get it here first.
Your facility hands you (or emails you) an enrollment QR code.
Tip: you can also scan the QR straight from your phone’s Camera app — it opens Wave Passport and enrolls automatically.
Your membership provider emailed you a Site ID and Client ID.
Each code enrolls one device on a first-come basis. If it says your membership is already active on another device, see “Got a new phone?” below.
Install Wave Passport on your Apple Watch or Wear OS watch and keep it paired to your phone — the credential syncs to the wrist on its own after you enroll the phone. No separate code to enter. Need the watch app? Get it here.
Your access lives on one device at a time. Ask your facility to release your old device, then enroll the new one with either method above. (There’s no self-service takeover — this is what keeps a membership from being passed around.)
Wave Passport never stores a shareable member number. The unlock key is generated on your phone the moment you enroll, so access can’t be copied, screenshotted, or forwarded.
Manage member access from the Mobile Devices page in your Wave Passport door admin. Each member’s access is tied to one device at a time — you stay in control of who’s active.
Get a member set up the first time.
Three ways to deliver the code:
• In person — have them scan the on-screen QR with their phone camera.
• Copy code — copies the enrollment code to paste anywhere (e.g. your own message); the member pastes it into Wave Passport → Enter code manually.
• Email to member… — sends them the link; opening it on their phone enrolls in one tap, no scanning. (Use Download QR to attach the image if they’ll scan it from a screen.)
Prefer no code at all? Hand the member their Site ID + Client ID and they self-enroll with Method 2 above.
Member left, lost their phone, or got a new one.
Revoking frees the member’s membership so it can be claimed on a new device — there’s no member-side takeover, so a lost phone can’t keep access.
Members stuck enrolling? Re-issue their QR code or provider code from the
Mobile Devices page. Operators needing door admin access — contact Passport Technologies.
